This is an
innovative concept introduce by Ardee in the Indian
steel industry. Ardee owns and manages the machines,
designates qualified personnel in the steel plants,
supplies the cored wires to be added, maintains the
stock and ensures the smooth operation of the
de-oxidation process. The customer only has to pay on
a per-ton-of-steel basis. This ensures that the
customer gets the best quality raw materials and the
lowest cost of steel. Additional advantages to the
customer include elimination problems associated
with inventory, maintenance, manpower and
monitoring.

To
add carbon to steel for making medium and
high carbon grades, with low sulfur, low
hydrogen and nitrogen pick up. Based on
the specification the following additives
may be used:
- Calcined Petroleum Coke
- "Recarburiser" - Calcined anthracite
- Graphite based
- High fixed carbon coke

To provide Total Aluminum Management
for de-oxidation of the steel which
includes supply of:
- High dimensional Reactive Aluminum cored wire for de-oxidation of steel.
- Active oxygen/FeO measurement,
- Samplers for molten steel sampling before and after de-oxidation.
- Maintenance of equipments like Wire Feeder, Measuring instruments etc.
- Targeted active oxygen and Aluminum levels in the steel
as per requirement.
- Skilled Manpower, to manage the operation of the Aluminum Management.
- Work towards cost reduction.

To add calcium to the steel for
de-oxidation. Based on the specifications,
the following materials may be used for
de-oxidation.
- CaSi
- CaFe
- CaAlFe
- Solid calcium cored wire
- Granular calcium cored wire
- Calcium wire-in-wire with aluminium
in the annular space. This ensures
deeper injection, improved recovery
and lesser splashing
Ardee also provides the wire feeders,
the maintenance of the equipment,
maintains the inventory and provides
skilled manpower.
